Hi, I am Anita, Nita for short. I am 45 years old single mum. I cannot really cook and I definitely cannot sew. Wonder Web is the best invention in the world and the house fire alarm sucks at tea time.
I have decided to write this blog to help build my confidence and prove to myself that I can 'do it'. Even though publishing topics online and receiving views from other Mums scares the hell out of me.
I am still trying to figure out Twitter and everything else that goes with blogging. So if you can offer any advice then I would love t hear from you!
I am happy when I push the button on a PC and it works, but if nothing happens I reach panic mode.... that is the extent of my knowledge.
I work full-time as a Management Accountant, but I have come to the point in my life that I want to slow down. Eventually I aim to be employed part-time to spend more valuable time with Nicholas, my 7 year old little boy. Without the help of my Mum I would never be in the position I am now.... in full-time work to make ends meet. A BIG THANK YOU MUM!

We live in a crazy hour with out dog Gizmo (an 11 month old Cocker Spaniel with a heart murmur and one testicle), and out 10 year old cat Tilly, who is the boss. Both get along superbly, although when Gizmo wants to play, my old lady Tilly puts him in his place.
At the moment I have half a kitchen, which I will complete with the help of wonderful friends and family. You see, everything came to a grinding halt - because suddenly I became single. Last weekend, with a triumph and a satisfied smile, I attached the doors to the rounded corner unit. I was soooo proud of myself. Then a few days later Nicholas opens the unit door ... and it fell off,clattering to the floor.
I have decided to wait for my friends and finish the kitchen together, maybe with a bottle of wine.
A positive point of being single is that I can decorate the house as I want - and I can rip out the damn built-in TV stand ...
